Two vehicles damaged in Hometown rear-end collision

Occupants of both vehicles declined medical treatment at the scene after a rear-end collision Monday on Route 309 in Hometown.

Responders were dispatched to Claremont Avenue in the vicinity of Heisler's Auto Service Center just before noon. Those on scene said it appeared a Honda Civic was traveling northbound in the passing lane and attempting to turn left into the parking lot of a business when the vehicle was rear-ended by a GMC Canyon pickup. Both vehicles ended up on a private parking lot after colliding and traffic flow was uninterrupted along the four-lane highway. Rush Township Police are investigating. No other information was available.
