HARRISBURG (AP) - Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf is suggesting that he may sign at least part of Republican lawmakers' spending legislation that could arrive on his desk by the day's end.

Wolf for a second day Wednesday wouldn't say whether he'd sign or veto a $6 billion spending bill. It's designed to resolve a partisan fight that's left schools and universities warning of closures two-thirds into the state's fiscal year.

But during an appearance on WITF-FM radio, Wolf said he thinks "we can get some money out."

Still, Wolf warns that Republicans haven't gotten serious about resolving an approximately $2 billion projected deficit. Wolf is proposing a $2.7 billion tax increase to wipe it out and boost school spending.

A bipartisan spending deal involving a tax increase collapsed in December after House GOP leaders pulled their support.
