State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating a theft that happened at the P & J Coin Pawn Shop, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said officials of the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms bureau conducted an inspection of the shop and discovered five guns were missing from the shop, after which time the victim, a 55-year-old Polk Township man, reported the missing guns to state police.Police said the theft happened between Oct. 6, 2011, and Feb. 2 of this year.
