A 14-year-old West Hempfield Middle School student has been cited to Westmoreland County Juvenile Court for making a terroristic threats against the school last week.
The threat was posted on the student's Instagram account about 11 p.m. Thursday and reported the next day to school officials by the parents of another student who saw the threat, state police said in a news release Tuesday.The undisclosed threat prompted a letter to school parents Friday from Hempfield Area School District Superintendent Barbara Marin, who reported that no students or staff were in any danger.The student will face school disciplinary action.
