Weaver added the smoke traveled throughout the adjoining home.
No one was home at the time of the fire, Weaver said.
Two dogs were rescued, for which Weaver said CART is providing temporary housing.
He said firefighters had the matter under control in under 10 minutes.
The house sustained only minor damage, Weaver said.
Also responding at the scene were Diamond Fire Company, Emerald Fire Company, Greenawalds Fire Company's Rapid Intervention Team, and Northern Valley EMS.
Weaver said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
