Jim Thorpe graduate and former Times News Girls Basketball Player of the Year Celeste Robinson was recently selected to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East First Team All-Star squad.
The Millersville redshirt junior is now a two-time All-PSAC East selection, having been a second team pick as a sophomore during the 2013-14 season.Robinson, who missed the entire 2014-15 campaign due to an injury, led the Marauders in scoring average (13.9) and steals (2.0), and was second in rebounds (6.7) and assists (2.3).The former Olympian shot 50.8 percent from the field, sixth best in the PSAC. She also ranked fifth in the conference in steals.Robinson led her team in scoring 11 times this season and posted a double-double three times. Her defense was a key factor in Millersville leading the PSAC in scoring defense, field goal percentage defense and 3-point field goal percentage defense.Millersville posted a 19-9 record this season, reaching the PSAC playoffs.
