Marian Catholic High School in Hometown is hosting the 41st Annual Schuylkill County Honors Band Festival this week, culminating in a public concert at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

The 123-member festival band features students from Blue Mountain, Mahanoy Area, Marian, Minersville, Nativity, North Schuylkill, Pottsville, Shenandoah, Tamaqua, Tri-Valley, and Williams Valley high schools, selected through a competitive auditioning process.Dr. R. Tad Greig of Westminster College will direct.Selections will include "The Star-Spangled Banner," "Jubilant Flourishes," "Silence Overwhelmed," "Chorale and Shaker Dance," "Sinfonians," "Landscapes" and "Salute to PMEA."
