Palmerton Area High School is looking for a new boys and girls basketball coach for the 2016-17 season.

Leigh Keenan, head boys coach, and Rodney Strohl, head girls coach, both for the past three seasons, have submitted letters of resignation.Keenan took over in the 2013-14 season when the Bombers finished 3-19 and then guided the team to a 10-12 record in 2014-15. It was the first time the Bombers had double digit wins since the 2005-2006 season when they finished 10-14 under Brian Minnich.This past season, the Bombers were 8-14, making Keenan's career mark 21-45.Strohl coached the Lady Bombers from 1993 through 1999 compiling a 138-41 record and then returned for the 2013-14 season. That year the Lady Bombers went 14-9, last year they were 20-5 and this past season, finished up 5-17. He was 39-31 in his second stint.
