Fundraiser to benefit CCEEC

The Marian High School Pets and Wildlife for Students are asking people to lace up their skates for a Saturday fundraiser to benefit the Carbon County Environmental Education Center in Summit Hill.

The Roller Skate to Help Animals benefit will take place from 6-9 p.m., at the McAdoo Strand Roller Rink on Blaine Street. The funds raised will aid the center in building housing and acquiring medical supplies and veterinary care for the rescued wildlife.A bake sale will also take place. Admission for the event is $7, an extra dollar will be added for skate rental.The PAWS club was started by Marian High School Seniors last year. The environmental center is a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center working to care for sick, injured, displaced or orphaned animals.
