Cold front bringing wind gusts; snow possible Thursday night

A strong cold front will move through the region early this morning. Winds out of the west-northwest of 15 to 25 mph will frequently gust 35 to 40 mph behind the front this morning.

Locally higher gusts of 45 to 50 mph are possible for a brief period immediately behind the cold front until 6 a.m.

These locally higher wind gusts could cause a few downed tree limbs and sporadic power outages. Driving high profile vehicles will also be difficult.

There is a potential for light snow Thursday night into Friday morning. Accumulations of up to an inch or two are possible. The snow may have an impact on the Friday morning commute.
