A Carbon County woman has been charged DUI after she crashed her vehicle into a telephone pole late last year.

Township police said that at 11 a.m. Dec. 17, police received a 911 call reporting an erratic driver on Route 902 coming from Summit Hill toward Lehighton.While officers were responding, the vehicle, a Dodge neon, crashed into a telephone pole on Mahoning Drive West.As a result of the investigation, the driver, Jennifer Miller, 37, of Weissport, has been charged with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and careless driving.
