Two one-vehicle crashes investigated

State police Schuylkill Haven reported investigating two one-vehicle crashes on Saturday.

A crash occurred at 9:40 a.m. at the intersection of routes 61 and 895 in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said Randy L. Morgan, 52, of Williamstown, Dauphin County, was driving a 2010 Peterbilt tractor with trailer southbound in the right lane.After turning left off 895, and as he negotiated the turn, he lost control. The trailer portion of the rig began to slide across both lanes of 61 and onto the southbound shoulder.After initial impact, the truck flipped over onto its passenger side and traveled about 45 feet south on top of the guardrail before coming to rest. The rig came to rest facing southeast on its passenger side on top of the guardrail with the tractor unit on the southbound shoulder and the trailer in the front yard at 1 Rolling Glen Ave. The trailer was carrying spring water.Morgan was able to extricate himself from the truck. He was treated at the scene for a minor injury. Troopers said he was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.A second crash occurred at 5:20 p.m. along Hickory Drive in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said Mark A. Leib, 22, of Auburn, was driving a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix southbound when the vehicle left the road on the left side and struck a ditch. The vehicle sustained disabling damages while Leib was not injured.Troopers cited Leib for the crash.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a tractor-trailer rollover along Route 61. The crash occurred just before 10 a.m. as the rig was traveling west on Route 895 and attempted to make a left turn onto Route 61 south. COPYRIGHT LARRY NEFF/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
