Drug dealer arrested in Saylorsburg

A Monroe County woman has been jailed for selling heroin.

Jenice McNear, 25, of Saylorsburg, is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing at 10:15 a.m. March 7 before District Judge Jolana Krawitz of Stroudsburg.McNear faces charges on possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and criminal use of communication facility.She was arraigned by Krawitz on two cases filed by Detective Kim Lippincott of the Monroe County District Attorney's Office.McNear remains incarcerated in Monroe County Correctional Facility. Bail was set at $100,000 and $50,000 secured.According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Lippincott, here's what happened:On Wednesday,members of the Monroe County Drug Task Force met with an informant who said they could purchase heroin from McNear, who lives off Brick Church Road.Lippincott said she had several other informants give her information regarding McNear, saying she sells large quantities of heroin out of her house, where she lives with her father.The sources said McNear travels to New Jersey every other day and obtains 10-plus bricks of heroin.Drug Task Force members were able to conduct an undercover drug buy out of her residence on Wednesday. An informant went with an undercover police officer to purchase heroin from McNear.The purchase, along with the statements from other informants, gave detectives probable cause needed to apply for a search warrant for the residence and an arrest warrant for McNear.Detectives located $961, 92 packets of heroin stamped "1 eye willy" and one stamped "Facebook," three cellphones, and several hundred empty heroin packets labeled with different stamps.One informant told police that McNear would set up drug deals at the Dollar General or the Sunoco Gas station in Saylorsburg. The informant said that on one occasion he/she waited for McNear at the Dollar General. When McNear arrived she sold heroin to approximately five customers in the parking lot, going from vehicle to vehicle collecting money and handing out bundles of heroin.McNear said that she pays about $200 per brick of heroin in New Jersey.In addition, she said that she picks up about four bricks at a time from Paterson, New Jersey, brings it home, and uses about four bundles per day, then sells the rest for $80 per bundle.
