Police: Man threatened to shoot Chestnuthill couple

A man is behind bars for repeatedly stalking a Monroe County couple at their home and threatening to shoot them.

Todd Laudenbach, 42, of Wind Gap, is lodged in Northampton County Prison on charges of stalking, harassment and trespass by motor vehicle.According to an affidavit or probable cause filed by trooper Gabriel A. Saracino of the Pennsylvania State Police Department Fern Ridge barracks:Saracino was dispatched on Dec. 13 to a report of harassment at Baxter's Bend Road in Chestnuthill Township.Saracino met with the two victims, who said that they first encountered Laudenbach parked on their private property on Dec. 10.After asking Laudenbach to leave, he became combative and threatened to shoot both of them.On Dec. 11 Laudenbach was seen parked across the street from the victims' property, at which point the victims started to become concerned.On Dec. 12, Laudenbach was again parked across from the victims' property and could be seen talking on a walkie-talkie.He then started to make several passes in his vehicle, driving past the victims' house, when he once again parked across the street from the victims and was facing their property.At that point, the husband approached Laudenbach to find out what he was doing. Laudenbach again became combative and threatened to shoot the victim.Laudenbach then drove away, but returned later in the evening, and this time parked at the Chestnuthill Diner.The victim was able to obtain Laudenbach's license plate, and once again became involved in a verbal altercation with him.On Dec. 13, Saracino was dispatched to a report of an altercation with Laudenbach and another man, who said that he encountered Laudenbach near his residence after leaving the Baxter Bend Road location.When the man approached Laudenbach, Laudenbach became combative and threatened him. Laudenbachpulled away, almost striking the victim with his vehicle.Later that evening, Laudenbach was again seen in the area of Baxter Bend Road. This time he left his vehicle abandoned on a dirt road and ran from the scene.Trooper Matthew Kizis arrived on scene and had the vehicle towed.
