Twelve first-time offenders were placed in Carbon County's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program recently by Judge Steven R. Serfass.
If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program their record will be wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they will face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted.Jesse Roger Balliet, 28, of Lehighton, was placed on a charge of driving under the influence and drug charges. He was arrested by state police at Lehighton on July 25, 2015.He was assessed $600 for the cost of the program, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Tammy Lynn Cooks,47, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested by state police at Lehighton on Sept. 20, 2015, along Lehigh Canal parking lot in Weissport. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.She was assessed $500, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.Kayla Robyn Crosson, 28, of Kunkletown, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on Aug. 15, 2015, along Route 534 in Penn Forest Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test showed 0.28 BAC.She was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.Ronald D. Dreher Jr.,37, of Lehighton, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Aug. 2, 2015, along Bankway by Lehighton police. A test showed 0.12 BAC.He was assessed $500, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 30 days.John Quincy King III,39, of Reading, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on May 8, 2015, along Long Run Road in Franklin Township by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Vladimir Filtsev,42, of Staten Island, New York, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Jan. 24, 2015, at Beltzville State Park in Towamensing Township by park rangers. A test showed 0.14 BAC.He was assessed $500, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Deanna M. Freedman, 46, of Philadelphia, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on Sept. 12, 2015, by Palmerton police along Fifth Street. A test showed 0.29 BAC.She was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.Nicholas Drew Gerhard, 23, of East Greenville, Montgomery County, was placed on DUI charge. He was arrested on Nov. 30, 2014, along Indian Hill Road in Franklin Township by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Antonio Mario Inzillo, 25, of New Tripoli, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Aug. 2, 2015, along Delaware Avenue by Palmerton police. A test showed 0.19 BAC.He was assessed $550, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.Matthew Darryl Muchmore II, 67, of Lehighton, was placed on a charge of receiving stolen property. He was arrested on Dec. 9, 2015, by state police at Lehighton for an incident involving Gregy Hartman as the victim.He was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and make restitution of $6,000 to Hegarty Insurance.Ashley Taylor Nilsen,19, of Rockaway, New Jersey, was placed on a DUI charge. She was arrested on April 11, 2015, along Route 209 in Towamensing Township by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.She was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 90 days.Yelfrinso Y. Nunez Cruz,22, of Hazleton, was placed on a DUI charge. He was arrested on Sept. 6, 2015, along Pohopoco Drive in Towamensing Township by state police at Lehighton. A test result showed the presence of a controlled substance.He was assessed $600, ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.All defendants must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program.
