February 22, 2003 - Four Times News area wrestlers, two from Lehighton and two from Northern Lehigh, capture gold medals at the District 11 Class AA championships. The Indians' Josh Strawser (171 pounds) and Joe Tartar (215) both register 6-4 overtime victories in the finals to gain their titles. The Bulldogs' Ryan Hluschak (152) collects an 11-4 win in his championship bout while teammate Jack Gill (160) rolls to a 9-0 major to secure his gold. Gill's win comes over Northwestern's Dan Billig while Strawser defeats Nolehi's Jason Henritzy. Other TN silver medalists include Jim Thorpe's Ryan Bennick (145) and Harry Pry (189), and Lehighton's Travis Reed (103).
