A New York state resident is facing drug charges in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said on Feb. 1 at 4:25 a.m. officers responded to the Chelsea Circle, in Coolbaugh Township, for a domestic incident.Officers were advised one of the parties involved left in a red Honda.The vehicle was spotted parked near the scene but in front of a residence unrelated to the incident.The occupant was identified as Jermel McAllister, 38, of Brooklyn.McAllister was found to have in his possession a small plastic baggie of marijuana.He was taken into custody and transported to the county booking center.He was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.He was later released.
