The Seventh Moon Wellness Spa, 701 Bridge St., Lehighton, celebrates its first exhibit in the Stardust Lounge. An opening reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. March 4.

The exhibit is titled "Northern Exposure: Light out of Darkness," and features the work of Emily Marchello of New Jersey. The exhibit is curated by Rowan Laitila.Marchello is studying art history at Moravian College and will graduate in May. She plans to pursue both a master's degree and a Ph.D in historical anthropology."This series on the Northern Lights was painted after an experience of severe seasonal depression and was my way of coping with the darkness of winter by focusing on the light offered by the winter night sky," says Marchello. "In these pieces I experiment with the blending of light colors into a dark background in order to create a shimmering light effect, re-creating the beauty of the Alaskan wilderness."For more information, call 610-377-3002 or email
