Joseph Platts, 23, of Pottsville, is facing charges in connection with a shoplifting incident in Rush Township on Feb. 3. The theft took place at 9:15 p.m. at the HT Commons Walmart in Hometown.

Platts allegedly removed merchandise valued at $149.67.He will be charged with retail theft.
