FEBRUARY4, 1956Michael E. Zielasko, Summit Hill, Carbon County Chief Observer, Ground Observer Corps, U.S. Army Air Force, has received a bulletin from the Commanding General, Headquarters, Eastern Air Defense Force, stating the Air Force will conduct a Ground Observer Corps Test exercise (Sky Train No. 11).The exercise will be nationwide, with the Canadian Air Force and the U.S. Air Force, during which time there will be a communications check staged in conjunction with the test exercise. The purpose is to allow filter centers and telephone company personnel to become proficient in implementing the regular “alert sequence listing.”
