A traffic stop by state police at Lehighton led to the arrest of a Carbon County resident for underage possession of alcohol.

Troopers said the stop was made in the area of 275 N. First St., Lehighton, at 11:19 p.m. Jan. 21. At the stop it was found that Dakota Edward Yackanicz, 19, of Lehighton, who was driving a 2000 Volkswagen, was in possession of alcohol under the age of 21. Charges were filed.
