Tamaqua Mayor Christian Morrison has declared a snow emergency for the Borough of Tamaqua.

Non-essential driving is prohibited in the borough until Sunday, Jan. 24 at noon.

Motorists that must drive for work or emergency reasons are advised to use caution.
