A firearm was found along a Schuylkill County road and the owner is being sought.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said a case containing a firearm was found near the center lane of Route 183 in Wayne Township, about noon on Thursday. Troopers said the firearm appears to be the type used for hunting.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-739-1330.
