Nesquehoning police responded to a runaway rig just after 8 a.m. Friday. Police said the driver failed to stop and gear down at the top of Route 93 and lost his brakes as he descended into the borough. Charges of a stop sign violation and careless driving have been filed. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
