A Tannersville man was charged with attempted homicide after shooting a 22-year-old Pocono Pines resident in each leg early Saturday morning.

Around 12:45 a.m., state police at Fern Ridge were dispatched to a residence on Valley Road in Effort for the report of a shooting.Steven Robert Predmore, 21, had gotten into a verbal altercation with the victim, Alex Patrick Marsicano in the driveway, police said.The argument turned physical when both men started wrestling with one another.Predmore went to his truck and got a Ruger 9 mm pistol before discharging three rounds at Marsicano, who was struck once in the lower right leg and the lower left leg.Marsicano was transported to Pocono Medical center Emergency Room for treatment.Predmore faces charges of criminal attempt of first degree murder, aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment.A preliminary arraignment is pending.
