Thank you, firefighters

Thank you, firefighters

Last night (Saturday, Nov. 21), as I sat comfortably in my home relaxing and watching TV, I heard that dreaded sound! The fire alarm! As it was sounding I could hear cars rush past my house, many of whom I know are firefighters on their way to the danger of that fire.I rushed to see where the fire is located. It is nearly a mile across town from my house, but as I stand on my front porch, I can see the horrible, intense flames. Frightening just to see from the safety of my home. But within a very few minutes, the flames were gone and the fire was under control and out. The men and women who rushed for this danger, to protect us, risked their lives. They are brave and fearless firefighters giving their time to protect every one of us here and in our neighboring communities. They are "volunteers." They are brave and dedicated.Never forget them and what they do! Whenever you see a firefighter, Thank them! They are heroes! Thank you, firefighters!Sincerely and gratefully,Geo E. MilletTamaqua
