A McAdoo woman was cited by police after she injured her 14-year-old daughter on Dec. 4.

McAdoo police were dispatched to the area of a Chinese restaurant on North Kennedy Drive at 7:27 p.m. for a domestic incident.They spoke with the victim, who said she was hit with a metal mop handle after her mother discovered she was using a popular social media application. There were blood and bruise marks on the teen’s left shoulder. She refused medical treatment at the scene.Officers took her home where they met with Rabia Adeel, who admitted becoming upset and hitting her daughter.EMS personnel then checked over the teen’s injuries. They found bruises on her knees and marks around her neck and determined the cuts on her shoulder and forearm needed stitches.Adeel was cited for simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
