Carbon sets salaries for various departments

The Carbon County Salary Board approved a number of actions regarding the salaries of various positions in county departments.

Actions taken on Thursday include:• Establish the position of one part-time victim/witness coordinator trainee in the district attorney's office at $15.09 per hour, effective Dec. 3. This position is excluded from the retirement plan because the person is not anticipated to work 1,000 hours.• Change the rate of one part-time victim/witness coordinator in the district attorney's office from $18.03 per hour to $15.09 per hour, effective Dec. 21.• Abolish the position of one part-time victim/witness coordinator trainee in the district attorney's office at $15.09 per hour, effective Dec. 21.• Establish the position of one temporary assistant public defender in the public defender's office (under contract) at $8,300 per year, effective Dec. 3 to April 8, 2016.• Establish the position of one county caseworker II in Children and Youth Services at $15.07 per hour, effective Dec. 8.• Abolish the position of one county caseworker I in Children and Youth Services at $13.67 per hour, effective Dec. 8.• Change the rate of one part-time parking/meter attendant in the commissioners' office from $10.01 per hour to $9.72 per hour, effective Dec. 3.• Change the rate of one temporary parking attendant in the commissioners' office from $10.62 per hour to $9.72 per hour, effective Dec. 3.• Change the rate of one sergeant at the prison from $19.25 per hour to $18.14 per hour, retroactive to Nov. 23.• Abolish the positions of two temporary sergeants at $19.25 per hour, effective Dec. 3.• Change the rate of one seasonal park ranger II in parks from $11.60 per hour to $9.72 per hour, effective Dec. 3.
