A closer look

Dear Editor,

Now that the elections are over, a micro look at Carbon County and Nesquehoning in particular. A recent article in the Times News started "Something is rotten in Nesquehoning." Now remember, we can always trust the DEP and Emergency Management Team to get the answers after the fact! Sometime? Maybe?Add to the smell in the air the need for a fire practice facility, more pollution! We also have, in town, a cost generated power plant. The mayor and council members, I believe, are employees. Coal is to energy what the hula hoop is to tech. Now wait for it, Yes! On its way is a medical waste facility. This can only add to our quality of life. Pharmaceuticals and hazardous waste traveling our highways. To paraphrase: Insanity, putting the same people in the same seats and expecting different results. Carbon County and Nesquehoning: Where our future was yesterday!Michael "Butch" MikovichNesquehoning
