November 28, 1968 - Duke Lilly scores three touchdowns as Slatington cruises to a 27-6 Thanksgiving Day victory over rival Palmerton. Lilly gets his team on the board first with a 40-yard punt return for a TD and extends the margin by catching an 11-yard scoring strike from Gary VanNorman. The Bulldogs, coached by Jack Cassebaum, get a third score from their running back when he bolts over the goal line on a 3-yard run. The winners add another tally in the final period when VanNorman hooks up with Karl Andreas for a 37-yard TD pass.
