A burglary that happened between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Nov. 11 in Polk Township (Effort) is being investigated by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

The victim is a 61-year-old woman living on Village Road.She told police someone obtained entry to her residence and proceeded to the bedroom where they stole jewelry.
