Tamaqua woman jailed for assault

A Tamaqua woman was lodged in the Schuylkill County prison in Pottsville on Nov. 12 following a domestic incident in Tamaqua.

Police were dispatched to 108 W. Broad St. at 7:50 p.m. where they were met by a male victim, who said he had been struck in the face with a coat hanger by Ivette Roman, 36.As officers were speaking with the victim, Roman kept screaming at him. After she refused the officer's requests to stop, she was arrested.Arraigned before on-call District Judge Anthony Kilker of Shenandoah on charges of simple assault and harassment, she was taken to the prison in lieu of $15,000 percentage bail.
