The Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway in conjunction with Project 113 of Minersville would like to announce the dates for the Santa Steam Specials: Dec. 6 and Dec. 20. Trains will depart the Minersville depot at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. for a 70- to 80-minute journey along the West Branch of the Schuylkill River, passing through the borough of Schuylkill Haven and then returning to Minersville. The Santa Train will be pulled by recently restored former Central Railroad of New Jersey steam locomotive number 113.

Santa Claus will be present on the train to meet with all the children and pass out treats. All coaches are heated and restrooms are available on the train.Advanced purchase of tickets is recommended. For information, call 570-544-8300. Also check out rrproject113.org.
