Michelle Marie Rex, 40, of 6 Cherry St., Tamaqua, has been cited for allowing her dog to run loose.

Tamaqua police were contacted about the dog at 11:32 a.m. on Oct. 23. The caller said the animal was always running loose, menacing the neighborhood.A volunteer with the Tamaqua Area Animal Rescue group declined to get involved, saying the animal was considered to be dangerous.Officers then contacted the Pennsylvania State Dog Warden and issued a citation to Rex.
