Dominick Richards of Jim Thorpe was selected to the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Football Team.

Richards is a redshirt senior center for the James Madison Dukes.The Marian Catholic graduate has maintained a 3.70 cumulative grade-point average in the classroom as he pursues a degree in Health Sciences. He also served an important role on the Dukes' football team.This was the first Academic All-District honor for Richards and it is just the second all-time for a JMU scholar-athlete. Guard Matt Magerko received recognition in 2005.With the selection, Richards now receives a chance to reach the national ballot for Academic All-America, which will be named Nov. 18.Richards also received recognition last year as a member of the 2014 Colonial Athletic Association All-Academic Team, earned three JMU Athletic Director Scholar-Athlete honors and was previously awarded the CAA Commissioner's Academic Award.
