November 10, 1984 - Lehighton clinches the Centennial League championship and finishes the regular season undefeated by holding off Notre Dame for a 16-14 win. The Indians, coached by Dave Parsons, get on the board first with an 8-yard touchdown run from Scott Freeman. They extend the advantage when Tom Keer tosses a 60-yard scoring strike to Guido Dominic. Lehighton's defense allows just 10 rushing yards in the contest and forces six turnovers. Freeman finishes with a team-high 72 yards rushing and also intercepts a pass on defense.
