A 66-year-old female from Jim Thorpe is the apparent victim of fraud.

State police at Lehighton said the woman reported someone cashed fraudulent checks from her bank account amounting to $2,980. The incident occurred sometime between Oct. 26 and 28.Anyone with information is asked to call troopers at 610-681-1850.
