A Walnutport man crashed into a parked car in Lehighton Friday afternoon, according to the Mahoning Township Police Department in Lehighton.

A Ford Escort driven by Ronald Getter Jr., 21, was traveling toward Jim Thorpe when it allegedly crossed the white line at 3:20 p.m. on North First Street (Route 209). The car struck a legally parked car owned by a resident of that street, police said. The parked car was pushed into a utility pole and speed limit sign. The crash caused a traffic backup in both directions.Police seized marijuana, a digital scale, grinder, baggies and more than $400 in cash. Charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
