Rush traffic stop nets 120 bags of heroin

Two men are facing numerous drug-related charges following a traffic stop early Wednesday in Rush Township.

According to Rush Township police, an officer on patrol at 2:30 a.m. stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.Upon investigation, the officer discovered more than 120 bags of heroin on the driver, Nathan Ross of Nescopeck.Ross is facing charges of DUI, possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as summary traffic violations.A passenger in the vehicle, Matthew Eggler of Berwick, was determined to have a felony warrant out of Columbia County for possession with intent to deliver heroin.Police took Eggler to Schuylkill County Prison. Upon being processed at the prison, Eggler was found to be in possession of over 50 bags of heroin. Police said most of the drug was being hidden in his anal cavity.Eggler is also facing numerous drug related charges.
