Here are the unofficial results for contested races in our region of Monroe County:

Winners for the four-year term of commissioner: John R. Moyer, Republican incumbent, 8,066; John Christy, Democrat, 7,628; and Charles A. Garris, Republican, 7,122. Democrat Alan L. Everett had 7,051 votes.Marlo A. Merhige was uncontested for controller. She received 9,249 votes.Republican Josephine Ferro defeated Democrat Hector Cintron for register of wills/recorder of deeds. Ferro had 8,811 votes to Cintron's 6,662.Longtime Republican incumbent George Warden defeated Stacy Stewart-Keeler for prothonotary and clerk of courts. Warden had 8,835 votes and Stewart-Keeler had 6,692.Republican Sheriff Todd Martin held off Democratic challenger Trevor Tasetano by a large margin. Martin gathered 10,931 votes and Tasetano had 5,533.David Christine, a Republican, was unopposed for district attorney.In the race for Pleasant Valley School Board, winners of a four-year term were Susan Kresge, Delbert Zacharias, Steve Borger, Russell A. Gould and H. Charles Hoffman. All are currently serving on the board. Newcomer Donna Yozwiak lost her bid for the board.In Eldred Township, businesswoman Joann Bush, a Republican, defeated Kevin Silliman for Eldred supervisor. Bush had 328 votes to Silliman's 176.
