State police at Lehighton are investigating an apparent fraud and forgery incident.

Troopers said a 47-year-old man from Bowmanstown reported he received a phone call from a person believed to be a representative of his financial institution.When asked, the victim provided his current credit card information for further processing.Troopers said a further investigation revealed that the person who made the call was not a representative of the victim's financial institution.
