Two defendants entered guilty pleas before Judge Steven R. Serfass on Monday in the county court.

An aggravated assault charge was dropped in a plea bargain.Lehighton police were called to the behavioral health unit at the hospital for a disturbance. On scene they learned that Winter, who was a patient at the facility, had become violent and assaulted a member of the staff.Winter said he was off his medications for a mental health disorder at the time. McCrystal told the court Yezierski has long-term mental health issues dating back to when she was in her early teens and it continues today.Yesterday Yezierski said she didn't remember what happened in both incidents but did not dispute what the police report said happened. She is currently taking medication for her problems and receiving counseling.Serfass placed her on probation for 24 months on each count, running consecutively, and ordered her to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, continue his present counseling and make restitution of $20 for damages. Each defendant must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
