State police at the Lehighton barracks said a 2006 Mazda 3 driven by Melanie A. Fatzinger, 28, of Nazareth, traveled off Fireline Road in Bowmanstown at 11 a.m. Oct. 25 and struck a 1998 Chrysler Town and Country van that was parked in a private lot at the time.

Police said Fatzinger was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.Police said she was eastbound and negotiating a right curve in the roadway when she lost control of the vehicle. It traveled off the left side of the road and struck the van in a lot at 760 Fireline Road.No one was injured.
