Student arrested for making threats

A student at Pocono Mountain West High School has been arrested for making threats toward the school.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said on Oct. 23 they received information of possible threats toward the school made by a student. Police immediately began an investigation and had the juvenile in custody a short time later. Police said the juvenile had taken no steps toward carrying out the statements he had made the day before to other students.The juvenile was charged with terroristic threats, harassment by communication and persistent disorderly conduct. He was placed in the Northampton County Juvenile Detention Center pending a detention hearing in Monroe County court.
