Jim Thorpe police report on arrests

Jim Thorpe police reported on the following arrests.

Nadine Barnes, 44, of 27 E. Third St., Jim Thorpe, has been charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Police said the alleged incidents occurred at Jim Thorpe Area High School, 1 Olympian Way, between Dec. 18, 2014, and Jan. 13.Stephen Michael Smolar, 43, of 34 Chain Circle, New Ringgold has been charged with theft by deception and receiving stolen property. Police said Smolar allegedly agreed to replace a water pump at a borough residence and received a check for $1,079.20 for materials and labor. Smolar cashed the check and later an inspection of the work revealed that the water pump had not been replaced and no work had been done.Anthony Robert McGraw, 28, of 56 E. High St., Nazareth, has been charged with false identification to law enforcement authorities and driver's required to be licensed. The incident occurred on Oct. 6 in the area of 341 Center Ave.
