Ex-constable in court for stalking, threats
On May 14 and 15, over two dozen FBI agents and other law enforcement officials raided the home where a Carbon County constable lived in Summit Hill and retrieved what the officials only described as "possible bomb-making materials."
Jude Yuricheck, 40, has never been charged in that incident. On Wednesday, Yuricheck faced a Carbon County District Judge on another matter. He is lodged in the Carbon County Correctional Facility on one count of stalking and two counts of harassing a female in the borough. The affidavit says Yuricheck had a Protection From Abuse Order imposed on him on July 30, which was amended with more conditions on Aug. 10.He was arrested, police say, after he went into a church attended by the victim of his actions "and stood there staring at the plaintiff. The people in the church (in Summit Hill) were terrified due to the actions of the defendant."He was charged on Oct. 14 and placed in prison in default of $2,500 cash bail.Yesterday he appeared before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek of Lansford without legal counsel. He opted to waive the charges to Carbon County Court.Judge Kosciolek warned Yuricheck that if he would get out on bail, he is not allowed to have any contact with the victim, not permitted to have contact with the pastor of the respective church, cannot enter the church and cannot drive past the victim's house. The affidavit does not state the age of the victim. The original Protection From Abuse Order on July 30 was obtained by the Summit Hill Police Department. In the order, Yuricheck was ordered "not to stalk, harass or contact the victim."The amended order on Aug. 10 prohibits Yuricheck from driving past the victim's residence, and if he is in a public place and sees her he is directed to leave the premises immediately. The affidavit says all Yuricheck's firearms owned or possessed by him were to be given to the Carbon County Sheriff's Department. Those weapons had been taken in the May 14 and 15 raid by the FBI. The affidavit says in the FBI raid, "bomb making materials were found in the defendant's residence.""The defendant has been violating the Protection Order by emailing the plaintiff and still continues to intentionally slowly drive by her residence," says the affidavit. On May 29, two weeks after the raid, Yuricheck posted on his Facebook page, "Today I went out and got me some new toys better then the old ones I had and also I got some of my old toys that were taken back from the big boys. (smile emoticon) So today I treated my self to a triple shoot of cafe-en in my coffee. Strange brew in JT."The arresting officer in the stalking case is Summit Hill Police Chief Joseph Fittos Jr.
