Palmerton Police Department filed charges in several cases:

Drugs:• Lorene Rice, 39, of Palmerton, for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The incident occurred on Sept. 10 at 11:27 p.m. at Mauch Chunk Road and Franklin Avenue.• Nancy Kuhn, 55, of Jim Thorpe, for possession or delivery of a small amount of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The incident occurred on Aug. 8 at 12:35 p.m. in the 100 block of Lafayette Avenue.• Gary Hoffner, 37, of Nesquehoning, for possession of drug paraphernalia. The incident occurred on Sept. 6 at 1:16 p.m. in the 500 block of Mauch Chunk Road.DUI:• Robert Pazienza, 25, of Kunkletown, for DUI, stop signs and yield signs violations, and careless driving.Retail theftJaclyn Derr, 34, of Palmerton, was cited for driving under suspension, expired registration, expired inspection, required financial responsibility, violations of use of certificate of inspection, and retail theft. The violations occurred on Oct. 19 at 9:37 a.m. in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue.OtherPolice also issued five citations for speeding, four citations for vehicle violations, and one citation for traffic violations.
