Officials: 2 cops, firefighter, resident hurt in Philly house fire

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Officials say two Philadelphia police officers, a firefighter and a civilian were injured in a house fire.

It happened at around 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Officials say the officers suffered smoke inhalation while trying to rescue residents from inside the home.

WCAU-TV reports that a firefighter was injured by falling debris and a resident suffered smoke inhalation.

Officials say the fire was contained in about 30 minutes.

All four were hospitalized and are in stable condition. Their identities haven't been released.

It's not clear what sparked the blaze. Police are investigating.
