Lansford woman sentenced on DUI, drug counts

A Lansford woman, who previously pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and a drug count, was sentenced Monday in Carbon County court by Judge Joseph J. Matika after previously pleading guilty.

Marley Geusic, 23, was sentenced to serve five days to six months in jail on the DUI count and probation of six months on one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and a fine on a summary count of disorderly conduct.She was arrested on the DUI count on April 21, and the other count on April 6.On the DUI charge she was ordered to pay a fine of $300, license was suspended for a year, zero tolerance for drug or alcohol use, and render a total of 50 hours of community service. On the summary charge she was fined $300 and costs.She was given credit for 29 days spent in jail and paroled.
