The Perfect Dog Show will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday in Lehighton's Upper Park. Proceeds from the event will benefit Peaceful Knights.

No show dogs or handlers allowed; only "perfectly" normal folks with "perfectly" normal dogs. This is a fun time for both dogs and people. Judging will be done by local folk who like dogs.The fee is $10 per entry/category, and you may enter as many categories as you'd like ($2 per additional category).Categories are:• The Perfect Lap Dog: Owners will sit in a chair with the dog on their lap. Longest lap sit wins.• The Perfect Guard Dog: Owners will line up with the dog on a leash. Photos of a cat and a burglar will be shown to each dog. Winner will be chosen by the most barks.• The Perfect Hot Dog: Owners will show off their dog's best trick• The Wiggliest Butt• The Most Expressive Eyes• Most in Need of a Bib• Dog/Owner Look-alike: More than just similar costume - think Churchill and a bulldog• Best Costume: Dog and Owner• Best Smile• Loudest Bark: At a distance of 20 feetThe event will be held rain or shine.
